Brief 6 - Supply | Final Piece Notebooks

I chose to try two different types of a more complex traditional Japanese bind here: one A4 notebook and one A5 – each with their own sleeve to keep the pages neat. They come as a pair and they look pretty nice, I think! A neat notebook for the neat, is, I think, the premise. Whether it’s been realised or not, only the god of atheism knows.

TYPE – A LETTERPRESS DESK CALENDAR

The calendars are printed on a 55pt heavy cotton stock. Each card goes through the press twice, once for each color (black and gray). The stock is then cut down to size with a die cutting machine. This gives them their rounded corners. It’s a very long and tedious process, that’s why letterpress printing isn’t cheap by any means.
